A CTRM (Commodity Trading and Risk Management) system is built for teams that trade physical commodities: agriculture, nuts, metals, energy or industrial raw materials. Unlike a general-purpose ERP, it understands physical contracts, incoterms, itemised logistics costs and currency exposure.
A CTRM typically covers deal management with its cost lines, per-deal P&L, native multi-currency with daily FX, consolidated 30/60/90-day cashflow, document handling (B/L, invoices, certificates), anomaly alerts and reporting for partners or investors.
Classic corporate CTRMs, aimed at large trading houses, run into hundreds of thousands of euros a year. Modern CTRMs for small and mid-sized teams — Granel among them — are sold as SaaS for a fraction of that.
